SG Radio Show 002
SG Radio Show 002
11 September 2025
In our second SG Radio Show, Rui takes the mic as host, and we take you from the Ruhner Berge in Germany to Bolivia and the Andes — or the other way around.
The show begins with another exclusive mix for SG Radio from our resident This DJ Is Wonderful, followed by a conversation with Sharon Mercado Nogales.
Sharon is a Bolivian choreographer who spent a short residency in summer 2025 at the SG Arts Centre. In the interview, recorded during her stay, she shares insights into her artistic practice, reflecting on the role of Bolivian folklore dances in building community and their deep ties to land and agriculture. She also talks about her exploration of Technocumbia and her upcoming project Remix, where she reimagines popular rhythms as tools for connection and collective memory.
Alongside this, Sharon speaks about her role as co-founder of Moviendo Territorios — a collective that organises parties in Berlin to raise funds for projects across the Andes, Wallmapu, and El Chaco, supporting communities through the building of greenhouses, collaborative practices, and acts of care, resistance, and solidarity.
It’s a conversation that shows how art can grow from the ground up — connecting with land, sustaining communities, and shaping collective futures.
